Sikkim’s Pratik Pradhan makes state proud; becomes first Fighter Jet Pilot Officer
We are immensely proud to congratulate Mr. Pratik Pradhan, the first Fighter Jet Pilot Officer from Sikkim. Son of Mahendra and Kunti Pradhan of Sadam Suntaley, Melli, Pratik has accomplished an extraordinary feat.
Pratik’s remarkable journey began in 2022 when he secured the 7th rank in the NCC direct entry examination for Army Officer, placing him among the top candidates on a national level. He then underwent intensive training as an Army Officer in Chennai. During this period, Pratik successfully cleared the challenging examination for an Airforce Flying Officer.
In January 2023, Pratik embarked on his training at the Indian Airforce Academy in Hyderabad. After 15 months of rigorous preparation, he completed his training on June 15, 2024, and was commissioned as a Fighter Jet Pilot Officer.
This achievement is a significant milestone for Sikkim, as Pratik Pradhan is the first from the state to reach this prestigious position. His hard work, determination, and success are a source of great pride and inspiration for all of us.
